Adedoyin Aguoru, is a seasoned academic with over two decades of professional experience. She holds degrees in International Relation, English Studies and Comparative Studies from Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Ibadan and University of Ilorin. She was a visiting scholar ar the Arts Research Centre, Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan in 2007. Her research interests include gender-related discourses, comparative studies and national and cultural identity, specifically Nigerian and Japanese theatrical traditions. An insightful playwright and director, her other works include Stolen Seeds, A Voyage Round W.S (Wole Soyinka), Drama in Africa and Identity Re-creation in Global African Encounters (co-edited with John Ayotunde Bewaji). Dr. Doyin Aguoru, Editor in Studies in Transnational Africa and Japan (STAJ), is currently a senior Lecturer at the Department of English, University of Ibadan.
