Sola Owonibi

Sola Owonibi, an award-winning poet and playwright is a professor of English at the Department of English Studies, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Nigeria. His research and publication profile is characterized by Literature and Medicine, Gender Studies as well as African oral literature. A research scholar at the Centre for African Studies, University of Florida, Owonibi is also a postdoctoral fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies/African Humanities Program; and a laureate of CODESRIA Meaning-Making Research initiatives.
