We Take Your Work Seriously
Publishing is not easy. Getting a manuscript ready for publication takes months of work. Getting that book into readers’ hands takes even longer. Getting it to last takes years.
We represent, publish, distribute, and promote writers using the best editorial practices and production standards we can manage. We do not make empty promises, and we do not overhype. We simply do the work.
We believe that one day, because of the books we publish and the writers we support, there will be a Noirledge book in homes across Africa and beyond. That is the goal. Let us work towards it together.
Publishing
We accept manuscripts under our traditional imprints. If your manuscript is accepted, we assign an editor to work with you. The editing process can take weeks or months depending on the manuscript. Once editing is complete, we move to design, production, and distribution. You receive royalties as agreed in a clear contract that explains everything.
We also offer publishing arrangements where authors contribute to production costs. This is not vanity publishing. Every book we publish, regardless of the financial arrangement, goes through the same editorial process and meets the same production standards. We do not put our name on work we are not proud of.

Distribution
Getting books to readers is one of the hardest parts of African publishing. We have built a distribution network that reaches bookstores, schools, libraries, and individual readers across Nigeria and select African markets. We also work with international partners to place our titles in global markets.
We handle logistics for individual authors, institutions, and partner organisations. We manage bookstore placement, direct sales, and international rights partnerships. We are not perfect, but we are reliable, and we get books where they need to go.
If you need help distributing your book, you can contact us. Let us take that burden off your shoulders.
Marketing
Most books fail not because they are bad but because no one knows they exist. Readers cannot buy books they have never heard of. Bookstores will not stock titles they do not think will sell. Without consistent marketing, even excellent books disappear into obscurity.
We have built a marketing strategy over years of experience. We use print media, digital platforms, literary festivals, book clubs, podcasts, and community partnerships to put books in front of readers. We attend book fairs, pitch to reviewers, and work with influencers and educators. We organise author events and build buzz wherever we can.
We do not promise bestsellers because we cannot control what readers choose to buy. What we can promise is consistent, professional effort to make sure your book gets seen. That is what marketing is, and that is what we do.
New to Publishing?
Publishing can feel overwhelming if you have never done it before. There are questions about editing, design, printing, pricing, distribution, marketing, and rights. It is easy to make expensive mistakes when you do not know what you are doing.
If this is your first time publishing a book, we can help you navigate the process. Tell us about your manuscript and what you hope to achieve. We will walk you through your options and explain what each step costs, how long it takes, and what you can realistically expect.
Whether you are writing your first novel, compiling an academic journal, or preparing a memoir, we will give you honest advice. At Noirledge, we do not just publish books. We support writers through every stage of the publishing journey.
