Ndubuisi Martins
A poet, poetry theorist, and teacher, Ndubuisi Martins, has published two full books of poetry: One Call, Many Answers (2017), Answers through the Bramble (2021), which was longlisted for the inaugural Pan African Writers Association Poetry Prize in 2022. In 2023, his sandwiched poetry work, The Harmony of Lost Things, a gazelle, featuring old and new poems, was selected by Carl Terver for Shamsrumi Press. With distinguished Remi Raji, Ndubuisi Martins edited 22 Voices for WPD 2022, an E-chapbook/poetry anthology (Noirledge Publishing, 2022).
Ndubuisi was a member of the Advisory Board of The Protagonist, a journal of literary and cultural criticism at the Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures, Charles University, Prague, where he is finalizing his PhD—developing an analytical framework of the “signifying chameleon”, a model that enfolds complex, reflexive signs drawn from the indigenous motifs, Western techniques, and postmodern currents, for Anglophone poetry and poetics.
