Osita Obi

Osita Obi, who used the name Osy Obi for some of his earlier publications, read English at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and had a brief spell as a journalist while writing short stories for The Sunday New Nigeria newspapers. His stories and poems have appeared in various journals within and outside Nigeria, including Revue Noire, Farafina Online and Okike. He is featured in Asomwa Sonnie Adagbonyin’s Frontiers. Nigerian Short Stories and in Helon Habila and Kadija Sesay’s Dreams, Miracles and Jazz, New Adventures in African Writing. Obi is the author of The Girl Who Loved the Wind and Other Stories (Snaap Press, Enugu, 2003), Rage of the Sea Lion is his existential examination of the epitome of crimes of the 80’s that remains to date far from resolved. Obi lives in Manchester, UK.
